The AKFIN, PacFIN and RecFIN databases will be taken offline around 7:00 AM PST on 11/29/2018 to perform server maintenance. We expect the system will be back up around 9:00 AM PST, but in the event of complications, the databases may not be up until noon.
The AKFIN database has been updated to the latest version. Please contact AKFIN staff if you experience any unexpected behavior.
The AKFIN servers will be undergoing system maintenance and upgrades on December 27th. Servers will be taken offline around 3 AM PST and work is expected to be done by 2 PM PST. During this time our main webpage will be available, but the database, Answers and APEX will be unavailable. We will send out an email once the maintenance and upgrades have been completed.
After completion of the upgrades please inform us if you experience any unexpected behavior from any of the systems.

The Alaska Fisheries Science Center, the McDowell Group and the Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission have collaborated on a report the explores the routes by which federally managed groundfish and crab end up as food around the world.
Alaska Fish Radio reported on the release of the publication and reported on the summary findings of the report (Link)

The AKFIN Answers tool has been upgraded to 11.1.1.6.8, a version that fixes the previous problems experienced when exporting datasets to MS Excel. Prior to this upgrade, some cells values were suppressed in the MS Excel export; this did not affect comma-delimited or fixed-width file exports.
